PW Ice Hockey 

Director of Coaching- David Barrist- David comes to our club with an outstanding resume and hockey background.  David is hockey knowledgeable as well as people/player oriented.  David has great ideas for the future of PW ice hockey and is excited about re-entering the hockey world and working with our kids.  David’s past coaching positions include: the Junior Flyers Midget Team, Quakers Midget, Haverford Hawks Pee Wee, Lower Merion High School Varsity, Maccabi Hockey Team (coached Alex Adoni & Corey Hockman).  David is also a USA Hockey Level 3 Referee and has been a USA Hockey Coaching Instructor from 1993 -2000.  David extends an open line of communication to everyone involved with PWIH.

 

Varsity Head Coach-  Luke McCarty- Luke is originally from Lancaster where he played club and high school hockey.  Luke attended and played ice hockey at Penn State Berks County. Luke moved to Virginia where he continued to play hockey as well as began his coaching career.  Luke moved back into the area last year and decided he would like to get back into coaching ice hockey.  Luke is entering his second year as the Varsity Head Coach and we are excited to have Luke as part of our program. He brings knowledge, enthusiasm and the love of the game along with him.
